After his time in Berlin, Philipp found his way to Rutronik in September 2022. As IT System Manager, he assists our IT support team on a daily basis. Find out more about his job and the little surprises that come with it.
WHAT ARE YOUR TASKS AS IT SYSTEMS MANAGER?
In Portfolio Management, a new area of IT Operations, I support my colleagues with issues relating to Teams and SharePoint. I am also responsible for tasks concerning employee admissions.
WHICH GADGET SHOULD NOT BE MISSING AT YOUR WORKPLACE?
Apart from the laptop? Earphones, of course! I can concentrate better with music and work more efficiently as a result. I'm very happy that I don't have to operate without them in my day-to-day work.
WHAT WAS THE MOST UNUSUAL REQUEST YOU HAVE EVER RECEIVED?
I had this when our President, Helmut Rudel, called me. I don't want to give any details of the conversation, but I can say that our President is a very friendly and pleasant person to talk to.
WHAT DO YOU PARTICULARLY LIKE ABOUT YOUR WORK?
The flexibility to adapt my working day to my needs. The freedom to combine spontaneous private appointments with my job is really something special. And of course my colleagues – the warm welcome in the team and the continuous support in the IT department are aspects that I really appreciate.
